Gregory Alcala is a reporter for What's The 411Sports, a weekly sports news and commentary television show. He is What's The 411Sports' primary reporter covering the Brooklyn Nets. Greg is very passionate about sports and welcomes the challenge of speaking about a variety of sports including his main interest in professional basketball and baseball. 

Greg gained his initial career experience at St. Francis College, as one of the founding members of the Terriers Sports Network (TSN). He is responsible for shooting live sporting events, reporting news for packages and broadcast production duties. Additionally, Greg maintains his own sports blog entitled, "Sports N' Thoughts," where he develops sports related articles and posts video content for public consumption.

Mets Third Baseman impairs spine while rehabbing hamstring injury

While rehabbing a hamstring injury, New York Mets star third baseman David Wright, who planned to return sometime this season, aggravated his spine. The injury is now diagnosed as spinal stenosis, which could threaten the longevity of his baseball career.

Butler Gets Votes to Win Kia NBA Most Improved Player for 2014-15 Season

Chicago Bulls' Jimmy Butler was named the NBA’s most improved player for the 2014-15 season.

Butler, in his fourth season in the NBA, racked up career highs in scoring, rebounding and assists. Butler also made his first trip to the NBA All-Star Game as a reserve for the East. The Most Improved Player Award was created to recognize an up-and-coming player who has made a dramatic improvement from the previous season or seasons.

Butler is the first Bull to win the award since its inception in 1985-86.

Morris Twins Allegedly Involved in an Assault on 36-year-old Man

Marcus and Markieff Morris, aka The Morris Twins, of the Phoenix Suns, go into the What's The 411Sports Dog House for their alleged involvement with three other people in an assault on a 36 year-old man at a Phoenix recreation center on January 24, 2015.

The Morris Twins have been charged with felony aggravated assault.

VIDEO: Cleveland Cavaliers Aired an Offensive Commercial During Time-out

The Cleveland Cavaliers organization (not the players) are banished to the What's The 411Sports Dog House because of an inappropriate ad that aired on its Jumbotron during a recent Cleveland Cavaliers playoff game against the Chicago Bulls.

In view of the domestic violence cases in professional sports, particularly in the NFL, the ad was insensitive and cringe-worthy.
